I would guess that like me, you want your daughter to feel confident in who she is, that she has social skills and emotional tools to help her along through the tween and teen years. Perhaps you want to make sure she knows that you’re always there to listen and support her.
My hope is that all girls have the opportunity to dream big, be at ease with who they are and express their individual awesome into the world.
The Mother and Daughter Circles are a profoundly nourishing experience. They offer an experience of shared meaningful moments that build and maintain relationship with your daughter. Budding Heroines circle quenches a thirst for stories of real life women that we all have, because representation and role models matter. In our ever changing society where our girls are inundated with images of what it is to be a “good” or “perfect” girl and woman it is more important than ever to actively show and model to our girls many ways we can be a girl or woman. As a group we can instill values that will guide them right through the transition of adolescence. Together we create an antidote to mothering in isolation, common in our culture, and also the antidote to the competition that can exist between girls and women.
In keeping with the needs of different aged girls there are two groups to choose from below.

Budding Heroines
The Budding Heroine’s circle is a monthly circle group for mothers and daughters (from 8 – 10 years).
An inspiring and nourishing opportunity to explore real life heroines through conscious storytelling of her-story, craft and discussion. We will explore empowering themes through the stories of our real-life heroines from all walks of life.
Themes for this year will be:
following our dreams
emotional expression
resilience,
speaking our truth
body confidence
challenging stereotypes
These powerful female role models can inspire our daughters with the knowledge they can rise above challenges and go confidently toward their dreams and full expression of who they are!

Blossoming Maidens
The Blossoming Maidens circle is for Mothers with daughters aged 11-13 years. An opportunity for quality time, essential discussions and connection.
Themes relevant to this age group will be discussed to cultivate body literacy, acceptance of self, and healthy relationships. Topics include:
- body image
- big emotions
- navigating friendships
- finding your voice
- harnessing intuition
- menstruation
A space that reflects the “in between” stage for the girls. Opportunity for time with mum and the wisdom of other women in some sessions, and also time with just their peers in other sessions.
This group will run one Sunday for 5 weeks as an intensive coming of age program. This is a unique opportunity to create special memories with your daughter, open lines of discussion and celebrate her journey of becoming before the full swing of adolescence.
“My daughter and I were invited to join the Heroine’s Circle last year, and we jumped at the chance. I felt it crucial that my daughter was exposed to as many strong female role models as possible, so that the knowledge that women can do anything is learned from a young age. The topics were presented age-appropriately and there was plenty of opportunities for questions or joining the discussion with our own experiences. I especially enjoyed the mummy-daughter time, as did my daughter… a safe, welcoming and powerful gathering.”
— A.M (mother)
I loved Heroine’s Circle because we learnt about rebel girls, and got to do art and we danced like nobody was watching and we had snacks. I liked being with Mummy without my brother and sister.
